Now, players are being tasked with disabling tanks by damaging the engines. First, you’ll need to find a tank, preferably one without enemy players or IO Guards in it. Many players have found this advantage earlier in the season when people were constantly taking every tank they could find. Find a tank, then shoot the exhausts. During Fortnite‘s most recent war-themed season, players have been taking on the Imagined Order across the island. Players are currently taking back control Tilted Towers, which will likely have its own tank when The Seven are successful. Simply shoot the exhaust vents until the quest registers as complete. You can find unattended tanks at the different POIs that have been recaptured by The Seven. Players have been sent on multiple quests to prepare for the war and engage with the IO. When you’re back there, you’ll notice there are two exhaust vents.

As we embark upon week 7 of Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2, players have struggled with disabling a tank by damaging the engine.

While the tank is going to overheat, don’t fret, as it won’t explode unless you continue to fire at it. You don’t need to turn it on first or anything. See those yellow vents on the back of the tank? That is one of the tank locations in Fortnite — unless someone gets there first, you should be fine. From seasonal quests to a new character collection to complete, there is no shortage of activities at hand. It doesn’t matter which (unless it’s a rocket launcher, as it won’t work for this) and head over to the back of the tank. If you follow the road to the right, there is a short path right after the intersection that goes to the left before the cliffs. As always, I recommend to just land here directly from the battle bus. Now, look for any nearby weapons. Using a rare shotgun, it took around three shots for them to start leaking smoke. That’s what we’re focusing fire on. I recommend a spot east of Command Cavern.
