In such a competitive game like Fortnite, you need every advantage you can get to emerge victorious among your enemies! Which brings me to my next point. Usually, higher FOVs give you a much wider angle and more sight, rather than lover FOV. Ultrawide monitors have been known to give much more visibility, than others. Nonetheless, in the case of Fortnite, thankfully, it does support ultrawide ratio, more specifically 21:9.Additionally, it is not just that this is difficult to do.

Play something else for a week and you forget this game even exists. I've really enjoyed my UW monitor - especially using it for Fortnite. So many other things also give me an advantage, wireless mouse, good sound, high fps etc. That way, no users would have tried to "stretch" their resolution in the game. Stretching doesn't give you more vertical FOV. Locking all mice to a certain DPI level with acceleration enabled so people with expensive gaming mice don't have an advantage anymore? It will only be FOV locked vertically. I really just wish Fortnite would have allowed greater vertical field of view. Meaning, we UW owners will probably get black bars in those modes. This will be a blow for an ultra wide monitor user like myself. The game should have an FOV slider, but making sure everyone has the same FOV isn't unfair in the absence of an FOV slider. Your ultrawide will still get a larger FOV horizontally and will be unaffected by the change. Ok, so lets also ban 2080TI and all other components and monitors with low MS and high refresh rate! Good idea... idiots... makes me wonder when the asteroid will hit a threshold with enough market share to stop this.
